"Because Eric Schneiderman, a life-long Democrat, has served as a NY Senator, he has a broad understanding of the issues facing ALL of New York State, not just one county. He understands our state's fight for civil equality, the safeguarding of our environment and the need for whistleblower protection. He knew what hydro-fracking was and the potential danger it posed before some other AG candidates even heard about it.

As a lawmaker in Albany, Eric authored the historic reforms of the Rockefeller Drug Laws, and chaired the committee that led to Hiram Monserrate's expulsion from the NY State Senate. Eric wrote the most sweeping ethics overhaul in a generation.

Eric led the fight to pass laws preventing insurance companies from dropping coverage for individual policyholders after they become sick; taking guns out of the hands of criminals; and tightening laws against domestic violence. He has never given up the fight.

Schneiderman is endorsed by NARAL Pro-Choice New York, Empire State Pride Agenda, New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, Citizens Union, Citizen Action of New York, NY League of Conservation Voters, United Auto Workers, 1199 SEIU, United Healthcare Workers, Long Island Progressive Coalition, the New York Times, and Albany Times-Union.

Please join me in voting for Eric Schneiderman tomorrow, Tuesday, September 14th.

"I would ask all voters to consider the superior qualifications of Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice in tomorrow's Democratic Primary. Ms. Rice is a career prosecutor dedicated to protecting the People she represents. She is not a career politician, but an advocate for the underprivileged, the innocent and those who have no voice. Ms. Rice is an Albany outsider - an important qualification for the state's top law enforcement officer. Albany is broken, lets put a frech face and a fresh perspective in the Attorney General's Office. Please join me in supporting Kathleen Rice for Attorney General."

"Ridhard Brodsky is smart, he's articulate, his record shows that he's backed progressive causes and he's ethical."

Dear Friends,

I worked in the Office of the Attorney General for eight years, as a regional representative for the Hudson Valley, with offices in both White Plains and Poughkeepsie. I saw the workings of the office upfront and realized all the good it does for the residents of New York State. It is a large, complex organization with bureaus and district offices that cover the state. From consumer fraud issues to civil rights, labor to insurance fraud, the Attorney General\'s Office plays an important role in New York State Government.

This year five candidates are seeking the Democratic Party's endorsement as candidate for Attorney General in the November election. Each of them is a credit to the party, bringing a particular set of skills to their candidacy. I feel one of them deserves particular attention and would be our most qualified and successful candidate. I\'ve attached her resume and ask you to give her your consideration ahead of Tuesday's Primary Election:

I’d like to tell you about District Attorney Kathleen Rice, the candidate I’m supporting on Tuesday, September 14 in the Democratic primary for attorney general. As the only candidate who's actually run a large office of attorneys responsible for protecting the public, Kathleen is the most qualified candidate in this race. She will help reform government, keep our communities safe from white-collar and violent crime and ensure justice for all New Yorkers.

As Nassau County’s chief legal advocate, Kathleen has shown that she is an independent fighter who’s willing to take on tough challenges and offer innovative and progressive solutions to our communities’ most serious problems. Whether it is Kathleen’s nationally acclaimed and award-winning efforts to reduce drunk driving and drug crime, or her aggressive and independent pursuit of political corruption, Kathleen has the integrity, the skill and the experience to keep the attorney general’s office tough and progressive.

In 2005, Kathleen defeated a 31-year Republican incumbent to become the first woman district attorney in Long Island's history. This year, New Yorkers have an opportunity to elect our state’s first woman attorney general and the candidate most capable of defeating the New York Republican machine and using the attorney general’s office to protect our families, our communities and our rights.

Please join me in voting for Kathleen Rice for attorney general on Tuesday, September 14.

Sincerely,
Tom Hoffay

"I am personally supporting Eric Dinallo for two (2) very good reasons - 1. He has publicly stated that if elected he will put a New York State Attorney General's Office in very county in the State. That is important in all counties, but non more important in those small upstate counties with strong Republican majorities and no Democratic elected officials - at least under his plan, they would have an office they could go to for aid and assistance in keeping the Republicans in line and obeying the laws of the State. 2. Eric is the man behind former Attorney General Elliot Spitzer's successful law suits against the big Wall Street Firms and Big Banks. He was then appointed Superintendent of Insurance for the State and settled a long standing row over the World Trade Center as well as making the Health Insurers level the playing field for consumers in New York State.

Schneiderman is impressive as are all the candidates - but he is going to be sorely missed in the New York State Senate where he has made a mark in Stopping corruption and outright fraud and abuse of power.

Either will do an excellent job - it is a tough choice and I hope each of you will support the candidate of your choice and help them get the vote out for the Primary - get as many Democrats out as you can to vote in the Attorney General Primary and show the Republicans that we have more votes than they do - I am sure you all have lists from the Petitioning process - call the Dems and get them out to vote."

"I'm happy to announce that I am endorsing Senator Eric Schneiderman for Attorney General in the Democratic primary for Sept 14th. Senator Schneiderman has an extensive progressive record. To quote the NY Times Editorial Board:

"Schneiderman has courage, a strong voice and a deep commitment to ethical government," the board wrote. "During his 12 years in the Senate, he championed important laws protecting women’s rights and repealing the overly harsh Rockefeller-era drug laws, and he challenged his party’s leaders when they chose expedience over conviction."

Couldn't have said that any better. In its endorsement of Eric, the NY Times continued:

“Thanks to him, New York now has laws that will make it easier to prosecute fraud in government contracts and end the cynical practice of prison gerrymandering. Other efforts — promoting transparency in Albany and curbing the power of dirty money — have been blocked by political leaders eager to protect the sleazy status quo. His willingness to keep pushing is crucial. We endorse Senator Schneiderman in the Democratic primary because of his sound judgment, legal expertise, political independence and long history of fighting for government reform."

This is the kind of man we want as our next AG. I'm asking all of you in your various capacities as current or former elected/appointed officials in joining Eric's campaign. Please email me if you have any interest in supporting our next AG, Eric Schneiderman at: hectorsrodriguez@yahoo.com."
